Default Question regarding stall convertor in a 4L80E

I have a 4L80E trans, that I bought from a "bone yard" with 34k miles on it, I have my tranny guy going thru it to make sure all is ok, I am bolting this up to a 6.0L (408 c.i.) that is going to put out close to 500hp, my question is can I use the stock torque convertor this tranny comes with, if I do change it out what size convertor should I go with, this truck is a daily driver, so I am NOT looking for the Hard shift while normal driving, also would you recommend to insatll a shift kit like "transgo" I would appreciate any info. anyone can give.
