Default Question about TOG headers

I'm gonna order a set on monday, but I just have a few questions. Would it be cheaper to buy them and get them coated myself or should I just plop down the $150 to buy them pre coated. Also, TOG says their coating is a "titanium thermal barrier ceramic." What color is that?

I would guess it would be a 'titanium' color.

I got mine coated at a local shop that does powder coating for just under a 100 bucks. You might call around and see what it would cost though. I was quoted 120-150 but got the bill for just under 100.

First, I may have some input here (if not just ignore what I am typing)...

TOG headers are the ones I'd pick, best build construction, and life time warranty.

Next about thermal coatings...

I had my downpipe on my WRX JetHot coated with the 2000*+ coating. Works great. The under hood temps are GREATLY reduced. I highly recommend this coating. It isn't the bling/bling chrome color just darker like grey, black, blue.

Hope that helps some...
