Flickers my headlights even with 145Amp alternater. The fan will kick on any time the AC compressor kicks on which is every 30 seconds I believe. Even when the truck is running down the highway at 70mph and not needed. I'm gonna modify the circuit so that the AC fan only comes on when absolutely needed. Annoys the heck out of me.

My plan is to put one of the bulb type thermostats on/in the A/C condenser. Tie it to an adjustable thermostat just like used in aftermarket e-fans. Use the outputs from the controller that usually turn on a fan and put them in series with the Nelson A/C circuit. So the fan should only come on when the A/C condensor is hot just like turning fans on when the radiator is hot. When running down the road the AC condensor shouldn't get hot enough to trigger the circuit but sitting in traffic it would. I just have to figure out what temperature is to hot for an A/C condenser. I'm gonna unplug the A/C fan and stick in a thermometer int he condenser and run the AC to see how hot it gets when no air flowing over it. Does anybody know what this temp is?

Should work

i believe it would vary...i think you need the discharge temp to be at 12 warmer than ambient and that is the temp that you want the inside also to be blowing 12 degrees cooler than ambient in the inside. It still sounds like a good idea...the fan kicking on every 30 sec. is very annoying.
good luck

Im thinking about just wiring it up to run power and just saying screw the whole harness.

I've heard someone else wasy going to put a high pressure switch on the A/C line. I have not heard any results yet, but have been keeping my eyes and ears open for a viable solution.
