Default Question about 1.8 roller rockers

Still trying to figure out overheating problem on my silverado ss! Someone suggested that maybe my motor is being put under alot more stress with the Crane 1.8 roller rockers that are on my motor. Could this be true? My cam is 216/224 551/551 114 with 4 degrees of advance. I have never heard of this being the cause but did I do something wrong? It seemed like my overheating issues started after the cam, valve spring, rocker arm swap.

Yeah that is what I was thinking about because I was having a little trouble adjusting them. I think Iam going to put my stock rockers back on and see what happens besides from what everybody has said on here about them it doesn't sound like you really get much of a performance gain anyway. From what I heard sounds like they are pretty much a waste of time and money. I am going to be supercharging it soon also.

All you should do is tq them to 22 ft.lbs. There shouldn't be any adjusting of the rockers.

on certain types of roller rockers there is an adjustment on them. how many turns to get them quiet. i think i would try loosening them up and then retightening them like the old style rockers.

wait. you are saying that you installed 1.85 rockers on a 551 lift cam? wow that would put it near .600 lift. and four degrees? um. imo i would remove the rockers and see how that works out. that is a lot of lift.
