ah another thing I overlooked was that trq mgmt will also limit your throttle percentage. If your truck came with an electric throttle body the computer will only allow the tb to open up so much. In my stock tune if I pushed half throttle at 1200 (barely rolling) the tb will only open up about 10%. Trq mgmt is also there to keep traction and keep the driver safe. Not that anyone on this forum is afraid of losing a little traction

i have heard of PCM4less, but it seems that a lot of people on here use Wheatley or Nelson and they speak highly of them but do a little searching and se if you can find a dyno shop willing to tune your truck first. it will probably be a little more expensive, but well worth the money. if not though, the mail order tune is great anyway.

The timing was way off, pretty much everything... Going to Wheatly is the best thing I coulda done tune wise IMO...

budhayes3 is right, it can be hit or miss becaue a mail order tune assumes that all the functions of your cars tuning are working properly and it is based on a generic model which may not work for your truck. for example, when i got my MAF (huge waist of money), it was giving incorect readings and costing me HP. when i had my truck dyno'd, my tuner had to spend literally 35 minutes recalibrating it. if i had a mail order tune, my tune would not have compensated for this and would have sucked.
