Question; mounting C5 Corvette Fuel Filter/FPR, where?
I've got a return style fuel system and trying to adapt to an LS2 type fuel rail with only one inlet.
So, I've got my two factory fuel lines plugged right into the back of the C5 Corvette Fuel filter/ pressure regulator (WIX # 37737) right by the firewall behind the engine.
What I NEED to know, and may be a dumb question, but where can I mount this thing???
It has a little incorporated bracket with a hole and a little ground strap.
Can I mount it to a current stud on the firewall? Might it end up noisy there? Would it be properly grounded?
If not there,
Could I mount it to the back of the driver's side head?
Does it have to be grounded to the frame?
Any useful insight is much appreciated! This is one of the last things holding me back from finishing my LSX-R swap and I don't want to mess up the fueling system!

I was reading some other forum threads about LSX hybrid swaps to other various vehicles, and some people posted photos of where they mounted their vette fuel filters and many other people were telling a guy that it was too dangerous to have it mounted in engine compartment...?!
Anyway , I may just leave it as is (on a small bracket near the brake booster/steering) and ask my tuner what he thinks about it tomorrow. If he's sketched out about it too then I'll have to buy more fittings and longer lengths of hose and mount this down on the frame rail I guess.

If you really want to keep your engine bay clean, get the fittings needed and mount it in place of your original filter location. Just cut the return line which is fairly low pressure so you could get away with barbed fittings and hose clamps for that one. The other high pressure fittings should plug right into the vette fpr filter.
