Default Putting snap ring back on servo cover

I'm having trouble getting the snap ring back on my servo cover. Anybody have any helpful hints? Does the snap ring sit on the very outside rim of the bore or does it go into the groove that's a good 1/4" or so back? I can't remember exactly where it was. I put the billet servos in and all I have left to do is put that darn ring back in.

It goes into that grove ... it's a real PITA, but it can be done with 1 person. It's earier to get someone to help you though. I used a lawnmower blade to push the cover in and a flat screwdriver to help push the ring in place.

i used the end of a hammer and held the head to push mine back in. it is a pita as stated. once you push it in far enough, it should go right in

Good that you got it, just needed something to depress the cover into the bore then slip it back into place.
