the LS1 head gaskets or the LQ4 head gaskets ???.....or does it matter

AFAIK they are both 4.135" bore gaskets so they should be a direct swap right ???

Stick with 6L gaskets. I know the 6L gasket is 4.040 in diameter. I'd bet the LS1 is smaller. I wouldn't chance it.

Maybe. I think I kept the package from the last set of GM 6L gaskets I used. I'll look for them.
