Pushrod question

Default Pushrod question

Im having some 317 heads milled 30 thou. How do I find out what length pushrods to use once the mill is done??

Think you need the pushrod measuring tool. Never used 1 myself.

You have to check the preload on the lifter when you put the heads back on. The preload should be between 60-80 thousands with the stock lifters, I think. There is alot of debate about this with the ls1 guys some say as much as 120 thousands of preload, Too much preload will kill the lifter life or blow it out. Which ever comes first. You should be close with just 30 thousands.

im using 20 thousandths with nothing done to mine i think you should be alright i know stupid fast when he had his 5.3 did 30 and it worked fine i agree with mattrem it is borderline but ok IMHO
