Default Pulling motor now, HELP

I'm pulling the motor on my 02 Silverado right now and I can't get the engine to seperate from the trans. I know I have to get it to slide off of the pins but yanking it forward by the engine hoist pulls the whole truck. Any tips, tricks to get this thing off?? And I have gone back and made sure all trans bolts, etc are off. Thanks guys.

This has been asked a bunch of times and usually someone misses a trans bolt. Some have 7 and some have 8.

is there some kind of way like having the motor tilted up or tilted down that will help force it off the dowels?

Give the trans case a few good knocks with a hammer. Spend a little time knocking the area around the pins too.

Do you have a jack or jack stand under the trans? You might have the engine or trans too high or too low for each other and it's binding.

+1 on the floor jack. i also used a pry bar all around the bellhousing just to get it started. once it's loose, it should just wiggle right out
