Hydro-Boost works so much better than the vacuum booster. I would think the parts from an 04 or 05 SUV would swap in. As I understand it those have hydroboost from the factory now and are the only 1500 chassis that do. A vacuum booster can only charge up when there is vacuum but the hydroboost will always work.

i dont think a quick rev is going to be that big of a deal. if it turns out to be a pain i might look into the hydroboost.

Parish, i use a 2 step on my f-body....brake stalling gets me no boost before pushing thru the beams. On the 2-step set to 2500 rpms (and I drop timing to 1 degree) I get 3-4.5 psi. Not much difference but my best 60' times with 2 step and without are 1.57 and 1.7 so that IS a big difference. I can get higher on the 2 step for more boost once I get the air out of my lines. If that doesnt work, I will use the ebrake as well like the turbo buicks do. With Hptuners....stall up to about 1200 rpms so the truck doesnt die....have "vcm controls" up so you can click the "absolute timing" to 1 degree and then stall on up some more and watch how much more boost you get...the dropped timing adds lots of heat/boost. What i have done is drop timing to 1 degree using the "vcm controls".....get on the 2 step at 2500 rpms and look at where I am on the histogram at 2500 rpms on the 2step. Then I just edit my bin to have 1 degree of timing in a little area right where I saw it was at on the 2 step in the histogram...make sense? you could do this without a 2 step as well if you can stall it to a particular rpm everytime.

Tell them you're a dentist (and try to look innocent about the meth, laptop, and vc).

Yeah, that's it. Those "Dentist on wheels" guys. N20 to knock you out and the meth to give you that minty fresh breath.
