i hear ya on the one power adder thing. with the top end the turbo should be able to support i would have a bad *** one power adder set up if i can get it to launch hard.

does a 2 step work with an auto? especialy with a low stall like i have?

I would think that it would work in the same way a T-brake helps us by allowing you to be at WOT but still holding a certain RPM. This should allow you to get more out of your stall and by being at a higher RPM you should build more boost. I'm not sure how this would effect the brake problem though. I was going to send a message to Harlan about it but since my project is still a ways off I havn't got around to it.

The cops are always looking for something. I found out all of the Arlington Cops know where I live and about my truck and it hasn't been running for a year.

Your transmission needs a transbrake with a 2 step if you want to set it at any higher rpm than your brakes can currently hold. There is no transbrake for a 4L80E that I'm aware of.

Jim - Try what the Sy/Ty guys do to get a few more psi at launch. Put the truck in neutral, give the engine a good rev while MASHING on the brakes. When you let off the gas from revving the engine that is when your vacuum should be at the highest it will get. The brakes will hold a little more with the extra vacuum. Either that or convert over to a hydra-boost brake setup.

Sounds like it might be time for a bigger wastegate too if you can't see lower than 15 psi. It's just not big enough.

That truck is too well known in your area now, give it to me(with everything on it) and you get a new one to mess with.

wouldn't it just be easier to come out on a 125 shot and go to 75 once you reach Xpsi of boost?

Good point on the brakes

Jim, were you worried about turbulance created with the angle of that cutout? I thought about doing something like that on my new truck but wondered if it would hurt performance much when it was closed up. Then again, it's not that big of a deal really since when you want max power you just flick a switch anyway.

i dont buy any of the turbulence crap. i think some air will get traped down there and make a wall for the exhaust to hit and turn. kind of like how there is less turbulence with your gate up rather than down.

it doesn't matter much since i want max power with the cut out open. my exhaust is only 3.5" too. that can't help but i dont think there is room for 4" exhaust.

Looking good.

On the turbulence issue. I would not worry about it at all. Our trucks are so aerodynamically challenged that the air flowing underneath is very confused anyways.
