Got the motor specs taken care of today. Here's what the plan is.
Truck
'99 Silverado RCSB stepside
Motor/Drivetrain/Exhaust
- 4.03" bore * 4.125" stroke
- 240/240 .645/.645 114 (lift values at 1.8 rocker ratio)
- Special 6.0L heads
- Truck intake for now(custom in the future)
- ASM Longtubes
- Duel cutouts on 6.0L "Y-pipes"
- Built 4L60E(4L80E if that gets smoked)
- PY3600E converter(should be more like a 4000stall with the big motor)
- 28" slicks on lightweight rims/skinnies up front(track only)
Weight reduction - eventually
- Lightweight seats
- Hood
- Whatever else I find once I actually have the damn truck <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
Now help me find this truck within say 0-100 miles of Bowie, Maryland 20720. Preferably Blue or black. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
Thanks
John

Iron or aluminum block?
Will it ever see some spray? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

really slow truck - I hope it'll run at least a 13sec. 1/4. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> Thanks man
Neil 6.0 - I would've loved to drop the 80 or so pounds with the aluminum block but, $$$ was a factor in the decision. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" />
SPRAY! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" /> I think the motor will be enough for me. When I get tired of this motor I'll step up the 'verter, go to a solid roller, get a custom intake, and maybe some better heads. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
I just don't want to take the chance on hurting the motor with N2O. Sorry. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="gr_tounge.gif" />
