It is loud on all of the GN's I have heard/seen around here! Sounds cool, and gets alot of attention! But it is loud.

My buddy with an eclipse gsx ran an open waste gate for a little while, but he later plumbed it into the exhaust. It sounded like the car had a major exhaust leak (which it does with an external wg) and it was pretty loud. You may or may not lose efficiency by plumbing it into the exhaust depending on the type of exhaust you run or if you run with the cut out open vs. how much flow you need to control boost.

If it was me, I wouldn't dump the waste gate. But, you can always plumb it into the exhaust later on if dumped doesn't suit you.

it shouldn't have made any noise other that at WOT and near full boost. is that when it sounded like an exshaust leak or did it sound bad all the time?

With it closed it should sound fine. Just when the boost kicks up there and it opens it will get a little louder. Not too sure how much of it you will hear over the 900HP and T-88. LOL It may be more of a silent fart than loud.

Parish,

It only sounded bad when the engine was under boost, during normal (non boosted) driving it sounded fine. T=e noise kind of took away from how clean the car was, meaning you see a nice car driving down the road and as it passes it sounds like crap.

But, its just my opinion. Even though your truck seems to be slowly turning into a race truck, I think the external waste gate takes away from the civility during off track driving events.
