Default it runs, dyno tonight

it's alive and it feels good. i have about 100miles on it so far and most of them are just driving around easy. i did get on it hard for a few seconds and the boost went right to 22psi i got on the net and looked up my waste gate part number an it lists it as a 18-24psi spring. i swaped that out to a 9-14psi spring and i am now seeing about 18psi.

18psi is still too high but i have a few things to try and get that lower. last night i was cleaning out the holes after welding the pipes together and my aircompresor died on me. i only got the hot side of the gate about 1/2 hoged out. i am prety sure that is my problem but i had to get it running so i just put it together anyways. i will have to yank it apart later and clean that up more. i just cheezed the waste gate on there too. not sure how long it will last since i just miged it on there. i didn't do the dump either, tieing it back in was actualy easier and seemed more secure.

i am seeing no knock at all at 18psi but i am only wot at 18psi for a couple of sec's not a real good test yet. it is time to swap the oil and we are going to the dyno tonight. i would be thrilled with anything over my previous best of 767rwhp. i am not going to spray or use race gas so who knows but i do have the extra meth nozle so we will see how much pump gas hp this thing can make.

I can't wait to see those dyno #s and some videos soon after... You never cease to amaze me with that thing. I am in auto tech at a tech school here and I have everybody in my classes downloading videos of your truck in their free time. I even have the die hard Ford guys keeping up with it in suspense!
