Nelson end of story. And yes you WILL notice a difference. I believe TXsilverado dropped 4 tenths over a hypertech. I have a nelson tune and Allen Nelson knows his stuff and has great service. That setup will be nice and driveable but gains will be minimal compared to a cam more tailored to our trucks.

I would DEFINATLY recomend a custom tuned PCM. THe hand helds are generic, when the custom tunes are tailored for your mods. You will love it.

Custom tune hands down. If there is anyway possible get a dynotune but a mailorder will work and be better than the handhelds! Where do you live??

I agree. But the pricing is high. If you cant afford a custom tune right away, try ebay for an used Hpp3 or Diablo. Its better than nothing. If you have the cash go custom for sure

I had a Predator and I liked it... I now have a Nelson tune and I love it. I have no time or hp comparison data but just by SOTP, I found that at WOT, Nelson has just a little more umph than the Predator. Keep in mind, I did do quit a bit of tweeking with the timing and fuel which made a difference over the tune it came with. Predator only works at WOT. Now at part throttle, it's a totally different story. The Nelson tune has MUCH more power than the Predator. I didn't have to give nearly as much thottle from a normal take off to achieve the same acceleration.

With the Predator, you can do a slightly custom tune. There is an option to change perameters. That is also where you adjust for tire size and gear changes and such. You are very limited in the amount of timing and fuel adjustments you can make. You can order a custom tune update over the internet. Even with that, I would still say go with Nelson.
