Would there be any benifit of finishing off the pro cold intake with a 4" tube and bend to the throttle body.

I think half the battle with intakes is looks, freeing up space and making cleaning **** easier.

Also props for Todd,
you don't see Volant on here answering our questions

Agreed, Todd's a great guy. I'm sure he'll have another "tester" soon to see what it can do on another truck. Maybe mine was a goofy test!

I'll let you test it on a stock 2002 4.8.

I dont think I want to buy it, but I could let you test it out and see how it does.

another vote for Todd doing it again on another truck. i want to see this thing work. i agree, you don't see, K&N doing this or volant or any other cai companies. my only suggestion would be to test the homemade cai along with the procold.

FWIW: I don't think PCM resets make a difference with mods... When you got WOT (like on a dyno run), the PCM runs off of hard-coded parameters.

PCM resets will effect idle and all other throttle openings besides WOT...

it will have an effect if you are running positive ltrims. that is why people like to start off their tuning by geting the ltrims slightly negative.
