Default Predator vs Thunder Racing dyno

Contemplating going down to Thunder Racing for a dyno tune. i was just looking for opinions on would it be worth the 650$ and would there much of a diference over the predator tune? I do have some surging issues with the cam that would probably be smoothed out with a real tune. Any advice?

650.00!!!??? man that is a little high isnt it. but i can tell you that a custom tune will take care of most runnablility issues regarding mods. you will not be disappointed.

I would take a custom tune over predator any day of the week.

Yeah, I think 650 is a little on the pricey side myself, I was thinking along the lines of 400-500. Surely the dyno tune is better. I am trying to figure out if I would gain any noticible power over the programmer or would I just be paying 650 for a smoother running truck.

well yay you will gain very noticeable power over a handheld. with edit or hptuners whichever they use has the ability to change way more parimeters and taylor the truck to your liking. have them go for a ride on the street with you to check all other tuning. have them set up converter lock up and all other things. also check kr at tip in and while cruising.

Have you thought about taking it to Futral? Allan's a great guy and does real good work. I dont think you could go wrong with either Thunder or Futral tuning it but I believe Futral is a little less expensive. Back in January I paid $550.00 to Futral for a Dyno tune. So unless he has changed prices I would give him a call. I'm waiting to be worked in on an appointment with him right now. Probably be after the 1st sometime before he can do it but well worth the wait.

Thanks 02, ranwalk, for the input that's the kind of what I am trying to find out too about what to have them do. I know I have KR probs, surging, hunting at idle, crazy shifting.

I did not know that Futral was in La, never hurts to save a few bucks.
