Default Powertrax Question

My current ride is a 2000 silverado Z71 with the 5.3 & I love it .....with one exception.......the GT 4 rear axle 3.73 ratio. Know there is nothing wrong with the ratio it really needs the limited slip/posi to keep the tires planted. especially in the snow and rain (PA) I am considering installing the powertrax system. Any advice, recommendations good or bad appriciated

Power Trax lockers are very harsh, they act like a true locker more than a limited slip. The Eaton posi's are a lot smoother and very reliable.

I can say I love my powertrax no slip locker, It was fairly easy to install and seems to work smooth to me unless I gun it for a stand still then Im all over the road.

Keep in mind that Power-trax makes 2 different units. The lock-rite which is very harsh, and the no-slip which is limited slip smoothe almost. Neither one is any stronger than stock, so dont buy it for strength. For traction, they are a good deal.
