is it possible to swap a 6.2 into a 2000 Silverado?

I wanna know if it's possible to put a newer 6.2 engine ( like year 2012 and up) and tranny (6 or 8 speed) on my truck. My oil pump is going out so I want to see my options. I'd like to get more power in it. If I can what exactly would I need to get along with the engine and tranny.

I highly suggest you don't, you will regret life if you do.
For sure anything 2014+ is a completely no, you would have to strip each truck down completely and swap literally everything over to make a 2014+ work. **** even a 6.2/6L80e from a 2012-2013 is not something you'd want to do with a can-bus system vehicle like them.

What year 6.2 would make for the simplest swap for a 1999 rcsb 5.3? I would be swapping the engine and transmission along with ecm tcm and harnesses. I am planning on doing a tsp 212/218 cam and a 4l80e swap and rear ended but was wondering if it would be better just to find a 6.2/6L80.

None of them, there was never a gen3 6.2, so youll either have to swap crank reluctor, swap entire ECU/TCM and harness, or bore/stroke a gen3 engine to make it a 6.2, but at that point just make a 408

I am looking to swap a 2018 5.3 with transmission and transfer case into my 2001 silverado 1500hd 4x4 and was seeing if you could give me some advice

Use everything you can from the 2018 truck because nothing in your 2001 truck will work again.
You'll need the computer, wiring harness with OBD2, a change in fuel system because the 2018's are returnless. A new gauge cluster, likely digital because your old trucks stuff will never talk with the new computer.

the best advice anybody can give you on here is not to do that. Especially if you don’t have the skills to do all that work.
