Question Posi Questions

I know this subject has been beat to death but here goes. Been thinking about changing the rear diff to a posi unit in my 2002 4x4. It's got 3.73 gears stock. What brands seem to hold up the best? What kind of price differences can I expect to see? How long would the swap take doing it at home? I have rebuilt other rear ends in the past but never a Chevy truck. Does the computer need to be told that it is now a posi unit, will the thing have a brain fart if it does not know its a posi unit. Thanks for the help guys.

I have a PowerTrax in my 00 GMC and love it. Took about an hour and you don't need to re-set the R&P. I am running a mostly stock 5.3 in a ECSB 2wd and no problems - 6 months old, Just an option.
