Here's mine.

Machined the step out of the bottom.



Machined the flange off the top (not needed for my application).



After filing the un needed parts off..started with the wet and dry sand paper.







Finally...polished it on the bench grinder with a sisal polishing wheel.





(can also be 'half shafted' if desired).
