Default Porting question???

Does anyone have any pictures of them porting their TB. I really don't want to mess anything up. Or just a simple procedure on doing this.

just make the bore as much of a straight taper to the blade bore as you can and knife edge the inlet.

LOL.. i didnt think i worded that right!!

Ok here it goes. The taper from the inlet of the TB to blade isnt very straight when stock. So you need to make that as straight of a shot as you can. Make the very edge of the inlet side a knife edge meaning getting rid of the flat lip around the edge when stock. The little ridge up by the blade needs to be cut down to make that flat spot to the blade as small/short as possible.

First thing, you must take all the guts out the TB before starting. take the sensors off and then take the blade out. Then while looking at the open hole with the shaft in it, mark the topside of the shaft (the one WITHOUT bolt threads) Next take a hammer and whack the shaft out. Once thats out take a saw or cutting tool of some sort and cut the shaft at the marks you made earlier, do not cut the bottom half of the shaft. File the rough edges and then proceed to the porting of the TB. Remember where all the parts came from when you take it apart

Ok. That sounds a lot better. I am probably not going to attempt this right off hand. I will probably just get a junk one and do some practice. Thanks for the info though. Do you have any step by step pictures?

No i sure dont! I always seem to get caught up in doing it and dont ever think about taking pics. Once you start looking at it, it kinda becomes obvious what needs to be done.

Goodluck
