so, at a machine shop it'll cost around 100 bucks to get it done? and about how long will it take for the work to be done?

Polishing the Tb and cleaning up the profile of this factory piece decreases the vacuum signal the MAP sensor sees behind the TB. This is turn tricks the computer into thinking it's under a load (low vacuum signal because of porting work) therefore advancing the timing. Advancing the timing at the same RPM before the modification gives you a little more low-mid range torque.

lol, I saw this post and thought Slowverado was back to his old ways agian.
Good research TPCRacing! that is interesting that it is more of a MAP signal rather than airflow...
