Subscribed. I'm buying headers next week and thought about getting a ported stock throttle body to if it is worth it. I will be getting my tune adjusted for the headers and figured more air in and more out is always good.

I ported my own, don't know about any rwhp gains, but it definitely improved throttle response. If you have a Dremel and are careful, IMHO it's worth it.

did mine with a dremal, and it's well worth it. but you can only notice a change in throttle response.

Ive got a Shaner ported and polished throttle body and it definately made a difference in throttle responce, no doubt about it. I say go for it.

Can you tell me what bit was used in the dremal? I am fairly skilled at using one and I have a lot of different bits. I am just not 100% sure which would be best.

I used a handful of those sandpaper wheels, get plenty though, they wear out fast. Go coarse at first, then fine and finer to finish it off. Get a can of compressed air computer duster to clean it off as you work. I didn't touch the area where the blade closes b/c that can mess up your idle.
