Default Ported and Polished heads

I have a 6.0 in my truck. I know my heads flow great! But, I am having trouble finding an good set of 6.0 heads. I have seen great deals for 5.3 heads. I want another set, so I have zero down time with my truck. Its my daily driver. So, would a set of 5.3 work well with my truck if they were CNC ported. Or would I bet better off with a set off a F body? Or does anyone have a cheap set of 6.0 heads? Also, would 5.3 heads up my compression any?

With a small cam (one that makes great torque), you really don't need fully ported and polished heads. I'd think a mild port job would be fine.

If you have heads ported, a stage 1 set of LS1 heads would be fine. Maybe have them milled .020 at the same time.

One other thought would be to install a set of stock LS6 heads. They are more expensive, but don't pay to have them ported. They flow well, and with the smaller combustion chamber, your compression will jump over 10:1 easily. That is good for torque.
