Poll: Twin-screw or 383 LS1?

Depends on your intended use for the truck... if you want to haul ***, I'd go for the motor, since, like several others have mentioned, it'd be a great foundation. However, if you still want to be able to use it like a truck, I'd go for the blower... compared to the stroker motor, it will start easier, idle better, and pull from low RPM better (to reach your power goals with the stroker, you're going to have to run a fairly healthy cam).
If you decide to go the motor route, though, I have a forged Cola 4" crank that I'll let go for the same price that you have listed for the Eagle piece. Has filleted journals, etc... pretty trick piece.

I have owned 7 different blown vehicles and a whole bunch of NA vehicles. There is absolutely no replacement for boost. You get the power of a larger engine and the fuel economy of the smaller engine (if you can keep your foot out of it) Like already stated, it really depends on what the use of the truck is going to be. My vote is for the blower if it is a driver.

Like I said earlier if he just cant wait to get some power then yeah do the SC but since he already has the LS1 in his posession getting it nice and strong and then do the SC would be so much more rewarding than having a SC's 5.3. On topf of the massive amount of power it would have he would have a built strong as hell motor rather than a stock one!

If this is your DD, the kennebell would be bette for cruising around town i would think. Of course a 383 ls1 could run a decent cam and still have enough low end for farting around in. Then you could throw a blower or turbo on in a year or two, or just save up an few dollars and put a 150 shot on it.
