Default Plug in engine/tranny mount hole?

Just picked up a 5.3 today and noticed this plug which appears to be plastic in one of the engine/tranny mount holes. Is this normal? Or should I pull it out? Just found it odd, and figure I’d ask before trying to pull it out.

Second hand information here, but I heard it was because threading a bolt in there would penetrate the water jacket of the cylinder. I've never looked at my stock truck to see if there's a bolt there or not

JDM is correct with the water jacket.

With out that threaded bolt hole it makes mounting on the engine stand sorta odd

Funny. I never knew that about the water jacket. And here I've been thinking for 6 months I broke a bolt.
