Default please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! timming is drop

ok i got some weird problems going on with my truck i drove this thing 17-1800 mile striaght it drove hard and strong the whole way back to arkansas. well yesterday i fire it up and and start to drive and when you go up hills and put a heavy load on it you can watch the timming go up and down it will climb the hill at a strong say 18* the all the sudden drop TO 1 or 2* wtf is wrong if you try and hammer it it will just bogg and won't go at all looses all timming. please help and what does it sound like if a lifter is not pumping up becouse i got this weird tick and its not pistons slap and i pulled the plug wires one at a time and its a spun bearing. so what else could it be i don't believe its a loose rocker its too queit.

Probably should remove the valve covers and look for a broken rocker arm needle bearing or a broken spring. Perhaps someone else can chime in about your timing issues. It seems like the two things might be related.

Good luck,

Richard

i had something similiar happen to me on the way home from a trip. the truck made a strange ticking noise and alot of power was lost, also the engine was running real rough. so i pulled the valve covers off and it turned out to be a broken valvespring.

well i'll check'em but i found the timming problem. i was pulling some stuff from a cadilac stock tune for the cts-v and i used the means best timing table from it well today i load an old tune and it striaghtend out and i looked to seee what was couseing the problem between the tunes and well the cady means best timing i retarded at like 1800 rpm and 64 map i think the timing is like 22-24* well at 1600rpm and same map its freaking 5 so if your inbetween then it will jump back and forth and suck ***. this is the only thing i could find.
