Default Please help.. Cam for radix 6.0

As some may know, the 5.3 went to boom! I was going to reuse the gt2-3 cam I already have, but it was damaged.

I want to go bigger now that I have a 6.0. What are some thoughts? I know Im going to need a lot of exhaust duration with a high LSA. I really dont care much about the lift. I will buy the appropriate valve springs.

I think maybe something along the lines of 224/228 on a 116-118 lsa. Trying to go with the design of the gt2-3, just bigger.

Please help, I need to order this thing ASAP.

I was just looking at that now;

Not sure if that is big enough on the intake side. Some say that the intake duration is not that important in FI, I need help!! lol

After reading the thread above, I think I am more confused than before. lol Here is what I have got from everything. The SC likes something with a bigger exhaust duration, mainly because the SC takes care of the intake charge.

BUT, I am very confused about the LSA. Some say the high LSA will maintain the cylinder pressure while others say it will bleed it off. Since the Radix can only make limited boost on the 6.0 before contending with high IAT's, I want to pick the BEST cam for my application.

There have to be some on here that have 6.0 Radix's with cams. Help me!
lol

The LPE GT7 is working well for me. Would another work better? Dunno.

I would want something of a custom grind to get out of your truck what you want, based on your use of the truck and what you would like it to do. Allen Futral of Futral Motorsports is highly regarded as one of the best cam designers in the LSx world. He is a sponsor on LS1Tech, but not sure about here. He designed a cam for my 6.0L and Radix a couple of years ago. I didn't get a chance to use it before my engine went and sold it to another Silverado SS owner that now has his truck firmly into the mid 12s.

Just a suggestion. The LPE cams are proven performers and you really can't go wrong.

Just got off the phone with Lingenfelter, it seems that the GT7 is for turbo applications and the GT2-3 is still my best bet. Im just dying to try something new, preferably bigger.
