I see no one really read what you had to say.

so I will stand out from everybody else.

NO YOU DO NOT NEED A NEW CRANK BOLT.

if you are going to pin the crank with a pin kit then your fine, your old crank bolt will work just fine.
the pins will hold the balancer in place and keep it from moving.
just torque it down with the impact and your set.

Thumbs up

Thanks guys. Since the pin kit comes with a new bolt, that part is taken care of. I'll see if I can get to that 140* mark with my dads 1" drive ratchet and sockets. If not, then I'll try a cheater bar on top of the 1" drive ratchet handle. If that don't work, the impact gets to take it the rest of the way till my marks line up.
I'll be sure to make it happen either way.

I'll be sure to call you down to Houston the day the pulley goes back on.
I'll take that 5 bucks. The air gun will get it to the 140* mark one way or another. The air gun I have, isn't from Sears. It'll snap that crank bolt if I tried.
Still wanna bet??? If so, I'll have to ask you to ante up the stakes.

I always use a new bolt but it's a matter of choice, they are less than $5. Tighten as close to 240ft./lb. as you can get ...or do as Parish recommended w/ a air gun.
