tomorrow my son is strapping his truck down for a tune finally pretty excited about it its nothing serious just a LQ4 .30 over with a LS6 cam little higher then stock stall 4l80e stock exhaust manifolds cat's deleted true dual 3.42 gear
we did the entire build the only thing that was not done by us was the built trans but we built the engine, swapped & wired his truck '94 rcsb right now its on a safe tune and its pretty fun
Hope you upgraded the driveshaft, otherwise limited to 2nd gear pulls. Mine did 329 RW with more cam, headers, NNBS intake manifold, etc. If limited to 2nd gear pulls, I am going to guess 265-270 HP and 285-290 TQ.
yeah we are where of the drive shaft it will get changed out knowing my son it will be after it blows out lol i try to teach him to do things right but i'm just dad what do i know? i hear stuff like timmy from facebook been driving his with out a problem, so what i say nothing pretty much! thanks for mentioning it tho.. nice dyno #'s
so much much difference is there between a 2nd gear dyno and 3rd gear?

My factory driveshaft exploded on the chassis dyno, I think he made 5-7 pulls. I kept saying "2nd gear pulls." Somehow that got overlooked though. I have 4.11s and 31" tall tires. By the graph, it tossed the stock shaft around 116 MPH. The tune isn't finished, I expect another 10-ish RW out of it. Even not being 100% spot on, it will bust the tires loose from 25-30 MPH. (Stock TQ converter too)
Your son's truck looks great, I have always liked that body style. I had two 88s and a 96' in the past.
how much damage did it cause? yeah i tried to find a nice 2door tahoe or step side before i bought my 04 RCSB last month i love that body i had 89, 93 & 95 every thing i found was tacky or rusty and was over priced!
my last 04 was swapped lq4/4l80e 4.10 gear stock just tuned and was a really fun truck was able to stay on the back bumper a friends r/t challenger he ran 13.5/13.7 consistent his being 500 to 700 lbs lighter hoping he can run a 13.5ish but he's needs to get rid of the 3.42 and better exhaust for sure but i put a stop to that hes only 18 and want him to get his feet wet before we start turning it up. its hard to hold him back tho since i'm always turning my stuff up lol zo6 is up to 600/599 wheel and this 04 i'm dropping a 6.2 + boost lol
