Looks good! I have always wondered...What is the advantage of the X pipe vs just straight pipes to the muffler? How does it sound with no cats and true dual? Any low end TQ loss?

It'll balance the sound out more with an X or H pipe... also helps some to lower backfiring

Thanks

I think the advantage of the x-pipe is to help with exhaust flow on the mid and top end by helping each side of the motor to pull more of an equal/increase velocity flow.

It sounds killer almost like a pro stock car when i rev it even more so if i had a cam.

No low end loss that i can tell.

Just keeps pulling hard on the mid and top end.

Maybe its a little overkill but i have bigger plans for the motor when i have a little more funds.

That is so badass! Good job!

and yeah pressure and sound equalization is the purpose of an X pipe. They work better than H pipes but H pipes supposedly sound better somehow.

What'd you pay for the headers? are they coated?

Nice setup!

Still wondering where I can get a LT's for my 5.3. My 5.3 will be dropped b/t the rails of my '86 Silverado. Hoping LT's will fit.

Looks good. I have the same X pipe and mufflers on mine. I think they sound awesome. Must be a monster with headers and no cats. Wish a vendor would some out with Stainless longtubes for our trucks then I jump on it.

Off topic, but I am considering getting a MAgnacharger. Since we have the same year and engine, how much boost you running and power do you have? Your track times are impressive.
