OK????? On the Nelson thing both Pcm's Ive gotten from him for my 03 have started instantly just like they did when I got it off the lot but every truck is different. The stalls basiclly lets your truck start moving at a higher rpm than stock thus giving you more power quicker and this makes you alot quicker. I think your stock stall starts at like 1200 or something i honestly dont know but Im sure someone will step in. Think about when you hold the brake and rev your truck up and let off the brake your gonna start with more power that is what a stall does without having to use your break. You can get them at damn near any rpm range! Most of the guys hear get the 3300 or around that rpm range. Theya re pretty cool I cant wait ill I get mine done!

a yank tt3000 will cut off around .5 second in the quarter. Personally the are hard as hell to explain and have someone understand you while your explaining. Where is hitman when you need him.

Think of it as a clutch car. Instead of letting out the clutch at idle or reving it to 1000-1500 rpm and letting out the clutch...a converter will act like you are letting out the clutch at 3000rpm or so. Do you see the comparison? Its like leaving the line harder, although it can be felt all through the rpm range at any speed. CTSchevy was right....it is hard to explain!

Is the stall converter harder on your tranny? Also how much do they cost?

The Yank converter is close to $700. It does make the transmission run a little warmer, but if you have a trans cooler and a gauge to monitor temp. you will be ok.
