Performance needing help

Default Performance needing help

iv got a chevy 2006 scsb! I had a 5.3 slightly built! Moods: bored 30 over/flat top pistons! heads: 3 angle valve job with pac racing springs .600 lift along with 7.4 crom molly push rods! Cam: is a comp.cam 212/218 557/563 lsa115! stock bottom end but freshend up! Induction is a k&n intake with a 3/4 throtal body spacer! Exaust is long tubed headers to a x pipe to flowmaster40s dumped bf the axel.. built 4l60e shift kit and 3500 stall! Rearend has a posi unit and 3.73!! & on,my 265/35/22s I made 324rwhp/364rwtq! Will a cam help me get more out my truck? Bc the cam came out my slightly modded 4.8 and I put it in my 5.3!! Yall think my cam is to small? & what cam should I go with! Please help need info!

I know the 220r cam is a great combo for a stock 5.3 & should I go with that cam or some diffrent cam?

With all that work done to your truck and a 3500 rpm converter you could go quite a bit more than a 220/220 if you wanted. What do you want to shift at? I would probably get something in the mid 220's range, and you could very easily do it without any low end loss..

Maybe try to get someone to custom spec you a cam?

Id get something like a 226/226 or 228/228 or maybe a split pattern with a mid 220's intake duration and a high 220's exhaust duration.

If you want to use the same springs, you'll have to keep the springs .600 max lift in mind.

alot depends on what u wanto do with the truck.... 220- 224 should be ok for DD use after that ull be cutting into the street manners

Its a dd. And my rev. Is set at 6800rpm! An I do wount to keep my springs..

If you're set on keeping your valve springs you can go with the tr224 its a good sized cam and not too much lift for your springs.
