Question ? for people with transgo experience

Okay I have the transgo kit in my 4L60e. My mods are as follows, Crane cam ported heads, shortie headers, intake, exhaust, stock converter and LS1 edit. I have a few others but anyway right now I have 2 washers in the 1-2 accumulator with the vette servo. I am leaving one hell of a strip of rubber on my 1-2 shift. This is with 33 inch tall tire. This can't be good on parts. I am looking for a very firm shift without laying rubber at 1/2 throttle. I know I need to take out some washers but how many do you guys suggest? Just leave one or take out both of them. I only want to have to drop the pan once. Thanks for the help guys.

go no washers and buy a billit servo. this will give you a quick clean shift.
if you dont have a servo you might want to try 1 washer.
just my .02
and yes barking the hell out of the tires in second is not good. it will last only so long. trust me i know (9 transmissions later )

Sounds like your gut is telling you that it's shifting harder than it should be, and it's just a matter of time.So at light and medium throttle it slams, how about WOT? does it still slam or is it softer? You might want to put a gauge on this trans in case you have to much line pressure. You got a .500 boost valve? or did someone tweek the force motor adj.?

At wot it will lay rubber. The 1-2 meduim is the bark. I have the .500 boost valve and the force motor has never been touched. Stock line pressure also. I was just wanting opinions on what people have done with theres. I will probably take both washers out. I don't need to impress people with a hard 1-2 shift.
When I get a converter I will put the washers back in but for now I beleive I will play it safe. I have already rebuilt this bitch once.

What i have seen in the past was the rev boost inner valve installed backwards and this will cause extreme pressure at light and medium throttle bone jarring shifts and then be soft and mushy shifts at WOT.Yours doesnt sound that extreme.Have you had a manual gauge on it to watch main line pressure?

I wouldn't really recommend a shift kit without a stall. The stall allows the transmission to shift quick/hard with a shift kit and keeps the shock from breaking stuff.

I had two washers in my car and that thing was crazy until I got the stall in. Just light throttle and the damn tires would break loose shifting into second. BTW, that's not fun on wet roads.
