Default PCV clean side

I was talking to some reputable shops on the camaro side about what to do for the clean side of the PCV. I already have a elite engineering E2 can for the dirty side. They said the clean side separators work great, but in cold climates they tend to collect moisture and then dump that moisture back into the engine which would be bad. I know of my dirty side can in the winter months I have to empty it often and it's always more water than oil. They suggested putting another catch can on the clean side instead. What are peoples thoughts on this?
