Question Painting Stock Truck Intake??

I searched and didn't find anything.

So, who have painted their stock truck intake? I am not really interested in doing the car intake or aftermarket intake swap, but I wouldn't mind adding alittle color to my stock intake.

So, what have you got and how did you do it?

Thanks!!

Someone on here smoothed theirs out, don't remember it being painted, but that alone made a big difference

It's nylon so I would take the same steps as painting a plastic part. Degrease, clean, scratch the surface completely (scotchbrite) clean with alcohol and then a good plastic adhesion promoter. Go to PPG website and look for plastic painting.

This is my intake that one of our members Fogle 07 smoothed and painted. This is just the 5.3L intake. IMO it looks better that the larger cover and still covers up this god ugly intake.

Thanks for posting guys, but I meant painting the actual nylon intake manifold, not the manifold cover(s).

Again, thanks anyway.
