.......let me go ahead and finish this off.

Get the longtubes, that guy is pretty much full of ****, just like much of the world nowadays. They aren't going to hurt. If you want to find out for yourself, get a set of shorties and realize that you might as well have kept the stock manifolds. Get a real tune, and ditch the Flowmaster if you're really concerned about flow, because they're worthless in that area. If you want to find some other mods worth your while and fitting for your budget, search up. There's PLENTY of great information on here. Best of luck, and welcome.

Definitely go with the long tubes!! Cats vs. no cats regarding back-pressure and low end torque is a pointless debate. The only reasons to run cats are for less smell, less noise, and to be more emissions legal.

We carry Pacesetter, who is one of the more popular LT/ORY suppliers for the trucks.

There is the option of running a catted mid section. Dynatech offers that for the 99-06 trucks, to work with their long tube headers.

Give us a call or PM for pricing if you're interested.

Just a quick FYI, 99-06 6.0L trucks must run something like Dynatech's 715-84110 & 715-84220/84230. These are specific to the dual-in style of mid pipes used on these trucks.

...As compared to the 4.8/5.3 trucks which used a 2-into-1 Y Pipe.

99-06 6.0L Truck Dynatech Pricing currently is:
Headers: $749.95
Catted Mid-Pipes: $559.95
Non Catted Mid-Pipes: $449.95

I didnt feel any loss of bottem end at all with my Pacesetter long tubes.
The truck felt WAY more responsive and defantily gained throughout the power band

The only thing i dont like about my pacesetters are the slip fit connections and collectors, i guess its not a big deal but very nice clamps will solve all your problems.. dont use the crush clamps like what come with the kit.. it makes disassembly a bear!

Longtubes and real rune bud...you'll be surprised.

and 01silvy is right....its such a pain trying to wiggle, beat & pry the pipes apart after the U clamps have crushed onto the other pipe...they will be loose, wiggle and everything and STILL wont come off. I ended up cutting to get mine apart. Ruined the Y pipe and now I have a custom piece made from a local shop. All one piece which is great...till it needs to come out. lol
