Default Pacesetters vs ET reduction

With truck in sig and 15 to 20 hp gain from the LTs can I expect any reduction in et?

yep. make sure and get a good flowing exhaust like magnaflow or dynatech to complement the headers and intake

You should see some improvement not much but it will help your E/T times.
If you're running high 16's now you should dip to the low-mid 15's.

I ran a best of 16.12 in January. I don't expect the headers and possible change to the rest of the exhaust syatem to yield more than a tenth or 0.15 sec reduction. Would you agree?

TxSilverado...thanks.

It possible with a full exhaust. Just swapping in headers I wouldn't expect too much. You would see a gain in the top end. I did my headers at the same time as my cam and I picked up about .5 in the 1/4 mile. Although I had already had a full custom exhaust and tuning and just about every other bolt on also. Plus the air temp was about 20 degree higher and the humidity was higher on the later runs. So I may have picked up about .6 in the 1/4 with headers and cam. I would expect about .1-.2 with just headers and maybe .3-.5 with headers and exhaust. But these are just guesses, just about every truck reacts differently to mods.

Have you done any tuning? Might want to look at exhaust and tuning before headers. Sometimes a little tuning can be required to run headers also, and would most likely produce better gains.

I agree, shouldn't be that much decrease in time, but it helps.

My thoughts exactly on what Sierra Crew said!!!

Allyou have planned hugh? Yea right All I want is 14's but I'm in the 15.5's now, and need a cam, tune, and exhaust. Hopefully that will put me in the low 14's. Then I'll need a stall, and headers. If that puts me real low 14's then I'll HAVE to hit 13's. See where I'm going with this? If you can stop with just a FEW mods, you are a LOT stronget than 90% of the people here.
