Get some exhaust paint or my personal favorite - Rust-O'leum High-Zinc Cold Galvanizing Compound and spray those welds. The Zinc will help prevent the welds from rusting. I covered every bit of exposed steel on my system and it's holding up great.

01blackerado...course, not to jump on your comments or anything, but aiken, sc doesn't have a shop willing to put headers on. Also, FYI the reason I was posting these questions in the first place was because I was curious to know if anyone could help me out with these problems.

looks good.. i have one question tho. when u welded the 3 bolt flanges to the ends of headers, did u just weld. Or did u grind the coating off first.

Yeah, factory header to head gaskets are cheap. I got a pair for about $22 at the local dealer. Mine were in okay condition, but didn't seal too well so I had to go back in and replace them. Kind of a pain, but not bad. An hour job because of some setup differences with the dynatech headers.

Sorry dude, look i must have came off the wrong way when you read that post!!! When ever you have a question you want to ask you're suposed to start a new thread, not take someone elses to ask your question. But i know you didt know that, and thats why i was just joking with you, or giving **** if you will, about it. But by no means was i trying to be an *** about it which is why i gave you advice!!! Sorry if I came off wrong

Nick

It looks much better in person, all tig welds and manderal bends. The thing sounds so sweet. And the proformance gains are there too. I pick up 20-25rwhp across the entire rpm range! I have some videos that I will post up later and the dyno pulls if I can figure it out.
Were you running some other headers before that. If so what were you running. Becuase if you had some some short tubes and then went to these damn these are worth it. That is pretty good power throughout the entire RPM range.
