Question Pacesetters and Cats???

I haven't found anything on the other Pacesetters that mention using cats with this setup...only that with the Y-pipe you have to nix the cats, I know it may not be the best thing to do but CAN you run the Pacesetter headers with cats???

With any long tube header, you will have to delete the cats, or have them rewelded on to the end of the header. If your state does not require cats, then get rid of them, and get a nice muffler or two and you will be real happy.

Does Texas require Cats? I want to say yes but just want to make sure. I just stuck a pipe through mine so they appear to be on there. If Texas does not require cats then I will not put them on when I rework the exhaust

Texas does require cats and depending on the county population, they put asniffer when you go for inspection. Fortunately, the person who took my cats off is the same person who inspects my them.

If you know someone to inspect it then its no big deal here, but they are required. I was thinking of running one with my pacesetters but I don't think I will now. It would be more of a PITA to get them put on than it would be to find someone to inspect it.
