If your gonna leave the motor stock, stick with the y-pipe. If you go with a cam, heads, blower, etc., go with the true duals & x-pipe. On a modded motor the true duals and x-pipe add a considerable amount of mid-range torque and top-end horsepower. Stay with the 2.5" tubing/mufflers and you won't loose hardly any low-end.

I probably wont be doing any major mods anytime soon. If i do anything like heads, cam, blower, etc, ill be waiting until my warranty is up at like 36,000 miles. I dont want to crack anything open just yet and a magnacharger will for sure void any powertrain warranty i have. Besides, after thinking about it, it would be dumb for me to blow my tax returns and money i have saved on a blower right now when i could add some very nice bolt ons and a tune and put some money in the bank.

Thanks for the help 99silveradoSS. Im still stuck between the two but ill figure out what im gonna do.

Im actually considering putting the aerochamber on my girls truck and getting a couple spintechs for mine now and run duals. Ive always liked the duals setups on trucks but i will keep the x-pipe. Im assuming the x-pipe will do the same as the y-pipe considering the exhaust pulses will still be joining together in the x chamber the same as they would in the y chamber. I have the room to put one in there so i think im going to do that.

Pacesetter LT's, 2.5" duals with magnaflow x-pipe and 2 spintech mufflers dumped.

Help guys!! I think i have A.D.H.D.!! Maybe i need to get on some medication or something! Trust me, its not fun being indecisive like this!

I know a lot of folks go to Deer Park Muffler but I have never been a fan of them. They are very arrogant and kinda shitty to me. They do good work, but their attitude sucks. I would definitely go a long tube and true dual setup, and I would much more trust Mikey and Jays opinion over at G-force, because these are the motors that they make their money on and they have the dyno right there in their shop to prove it. If you want to contact another exhaust shop, call Manuel over at Affordable Muffler on Dairy Ashford in Houston. Good guy and just about all the LS1Tech guys over there use him, and there's good reason why, he does good work and is affordable, and has a huge performance car following.

Sweet! Thanks for the info guys! Ill have to give Jay a call. I actually know him and Mikey personally. Franco and jonathan as well. Im not looking to mod this motor much at all so im thinking the y-pipe would probably be fine to use for me. Its easier to install and it will all just slip fit together. G-force did say that the duals are better if im going to be running some bigger mods but the y-pipe is fine if the truck will be mostly stock.

bluecajun is mid 12's, 5.3 NA without any headwork on the pacesetter y. his new setup will be a Y pipe too. 3" from the collectors all the way back works great, and its easier on the bocketbook.

do the ory and cutout after the y. my exhaust makes small children cry true story!

ive also come up with my own source of entertainment sorta like the horn blasters. creep up on an unsuspicious victim with the cutout open at about 30mph. when you get about 10 yards behind them stomp it down to a first gear shift and watch them hit the deck

it never gets old

its extreeemly loud with a 3" cutout right after the Y
