Default Pacesetter LT's on the way!

Just ordered some pacesetters from Speed Eng. Im going to keep my true dual setup and run no cats (I like the sound of duals). I think I'm going to run dual 2.5" pipe to two single in/single out flomasters. So what I need to know is, can I flare a 2.5" pipe out to 3" and use V-bands to bolt it up at the collector? Also wheres the best place to buy V-bands and who makes em? Ohh, and right now, my dual setup is ran with 2.25" pipes from the manifold back, because the muffler shop guy said that 2.5" would be too big, not enough back pressure. Im thinking 2.5" would be fine now that I have a few mods, what do you guys think? Anyone see a problem with this? (Besides knocking on dual flowmaster setup's, I have to use what I got )

I'm not an expert but I can tell you that I think I lost a little bottom-end power from running 2.5's. I think you may get a little more up top though.

Ordered a pair of 3" Dynatech V-band clamps from Jeg's. So to use these things, I can connect it straight to the 3" collector and flare a 2.5" pipe out to 3" for the exhaust side right? I hope they are worth the money, Dynatech is proud of those things $.

Headers are installed, going to bend the pipes up this weekend. I have the vbands too. Now the vbands, how exactly do they work? One side over the 3" collector and the exhaust side needs to be 3" also? I mean do the two pipes but up together?

Also have an exhaust clip, might post it later, man that thing is loud running open headers

I think they are staight 3", best bet is to hit the auto part store and get a couple 3" to 2 1/2" reducer/increasers, I wouldn't bother with trying to flare the other pipe
