Pacesetter long tube and y-pipe removal for 99+
#1
I'm going to be removing my pacesetter exhaust to do my transmission swap today, and was wondering the easiest or best way to remove the exhaust.
Considering it is connected using the supplied pinch u-bolt connectors in the past I've had no luck separating the parts. So should I just cut it up to separate...or is there an easier way to separate the parts?
I won't have access to a torch, best I would have is penitrating lube and a heat gun.

Cut it off if you wanna buy a new y-pipe and don't cut the collectors on the headers. You could also cut that u-bolt right by the part that the bolts sit on. Then swing that around and lift the bracket off the exhaust. That's what I would do anyways
