Yep, over and over and over again. I logged the cam output and it is not reading anything at all. Help!

Maybe a shorted or cut wire?

The cam sensor gets it's signal off of the camshaft correct? Is it possible that the camashaft is damaged, or possibly that the cam is walking? I'd think that you'd get some signal from it, but if the magnet in the sensor isn't picking up the cam, it may read 0...

Well I found the problem. I pulled the cam out and it doesn't have a reluctor ring at all. I have no clue what this cam is for but it doesn't seem like it's the right cam for my truck. I should have noticed the difference but I didn't lay them side by side so I didn't know to look for it.

That would do it...must be an LS2 style cam.

Actually, I bet it's a stock LS2 cam. That would be my guess.

yep. ls2 cam i have one in the shed. they have similar specs to an ls6 cam. the cam sensor on a ls2 reads off of the cam sprocket.

I don't know if you can do that or not. The cam is already out and a new one will be here tomorrow so I will have back up and running on Saturday.
