P0153 after header install
#11
The O2 is not heating up in the time the ecu says it should be. Take and clear the codes. heat the O2 up with a heat gun or something, then start truck and see. Just get the O2 really warm.

The light usually only comes on when I'm cruising at about 55 after I get off work. Ive noticed it 3 times at those times and speeds. In town, on my way into work, it stays off.\
I understand the codes, just not sure how to fix them. Would any of the reputable tuners (BB, Nelson) be able to set those codes to "No fault" or whatever is needed to not show the MIL?
Thanks for all your help

It takes two consecutive key cycles with the error before the light is displayed on most codes. This could explain why you dont see it on your way to work but on your way home from work, assuming you are clearing the code at night.

That code happens occasionally when installing headers. Dynotech even mentions it in their installation instructions.
It happened to me on my second set of headers, but not on the first.

I havent seen the code in 2 days, or about 6 key cycles. The ambient temp has been lower the last few days. It seemed that I was only getting the code while cruising 55-60 when the ambient temp was in the 50's.
If it comes back this weekend, I guess I will have the truck tuned.
Thanks for all the help
