Default P&P Stock Heads??

Has anyone here P&P their stock heads and left the stock cam in? I was just wondering what benefits or detriment this might bring on a slightly modded truck with a stock cam.

edit:
I got to thinking, if I was to port the stock heads it would probably reduce my power (similar to throwing 6.0L heads on, without throwing boost or nitrous on the engine). However, are there any gains from just "cleaning-up" the heads by smoothing and polishing them up?

If you were just to port match and polish them up to remove casting flash, it should see some improvement. I think you'd see a loss if you were to increase the chamber size by bowling it out some but just smoothing them over, I don't think so. I could be wrong but IMO you're just making it more efficient which can't hurt.
