What do you think about looping the egr pipe back into the exhaust. All the egr does is read exhaust gases right? So if you loop it back into the exhaust its not going to know the difference. Just wanted your opinion.
Also wondered about taking out the cats. Noticed there are 2 O2 sensors. What would it affect and is there a way to trick the computer?
Oh yeah. I was offered an intake for a 2000 vette. They said it would work on my truck. What do you think?

dont know about the EGR...sure richard can help you there
to take off cats all you have to do is buy O2 sims from thunder racing
if i'm not mistaken the truck intake flows as well if not better than the vette so it won't really help

i could be wrong on the EGR so i didn't wanna say anything but i'll take a shot..
i think it actually brings spent exaust back into the engine which through some kind of chemical reaction actually makes it cooler. maybe someone smarter can go more into detail or correct me.

Without a fully functional EGR circuit you are likely to get a P0400 type code...more likely a P0401 EGR insuficient saturation code. I have seen people make restrictor plates to minimize gas entry but you will have to turn off the SES code to keep it from setting.
As was said the cat removal would require O2 simms.
The F and Y-body intake will physically fit but will require other modifications to the fuel system hardware to work. Probably not worth the trouble.
