The design is not locked in stone and I will be firing her up and doing a sound byte shortly.

Awesome set up. I have this same set up on my wife's truck only difference is I have an H pipe. Are there any proven gains going with an X pipe?

Their may not be any signifigant gains, but I know that somewhere on a true dual exhaust set-up you will need a exhaust tube going from one side or the other so that the cylinder exhaust pressure is equally maintained on both sides of the engine.
You can just as well go from dual exhaust into one muffler, then back out two or one tailpipe.
The gains will be about the same.
You actually get better throttle response and more low end torque on a single muffler set-up vs. a dual set-up. (Better in town fuel eco. and better towing power).
A complete dual set-up will give you more torque and HP in the upper RPM range. Not much, but a little more. (Good for drag racing or sound preference).

I also have a question regarding the X-pipe, I had one installed to reduce the gurgling in my true dual set up. It helped alot with that but it seems like power done low has gone down slightly. I have heard that the X-pipe is supposed to help scavenging. If this is true doesn't the exhaust pipe length prior to the x-pipe need to be the same length on both sides so that the exhaust pulses through the x-pipe are timed correctly, similar to tuned headers. I realize this is nearly impossible to do and keep the cats in the stock location to be legal, but is there any advantage or disadvantage to the X-pipe or an H-pipe for that matter too if the exhaust system is not symetrical in length on both sides of the motor?

Is that a 6.0 exhaust? Will their be something that will fit the 5.3 with the y pipe? Or is that just with the junction of the y cut off?

The x pipe helps equal out the pressure in the two exhaust pipes so regardless of how long the pipes are before the x it equals out the pressure so about the same amount of exhaust gas is flowing through each muffler so you dont have one pipe flowing twice as much as the other if only for intstant but it helps I have one on my truck. Main thing I noticed was it took alot of the popping and gurgling out of the exhaust but didnt really feel in the SOTP meter.
